OPGI Supplies Cadillac Parts for Apolo Ohno’s “No Regrets”

What do 8-time Olympic champion and short track speed skater Apolo Ohno and the team at Original Parts Group have in common? A love for classic cars and a need for speed.

Ohno teamed up with Kindig-it Design to come up with one bad-ass concept for his 1964 Cadillac Deville convertible. Kindig-it turned to Original Parts Group, leading supplier of classic car restoration parts, to provide the highest quality Cadillac parts available. OPGI supplied emblems, lenses, weather-stripping, and various other interior components.

“Having a source like Original Parts Group to supply Cadillac parts was invaluable to the project,” said Dave Kindig of Kindig-it Design.

Dubbed “Zero Regrets” the 1964 Cadillac sports a smoothed and painted white 502 Ramjet, 16 ½ Willwood brakes, and Ridetech air suspension. Up close you will see the Olympic 5-ring insignia as quarter panel emblems, instrument bezels, and cluster gauge. Ohno keeps it classy with sleek white leather interior and chrome wheels. Ohno’s portrait can even be found on the engine (the guy does have some serious bragging rights being the most decorated American athlete in the Winter Olympics).

“No Regrets” was unveiled at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas in November. Look for the upcoming coverage of “Zero Regrets” on Hot Rod TV.
