Spring Summer Series: Pontiac Show

Original Parts Group held the second show of their Spring Summer Series on June 9th with an all-Pontiac Show. With an awesome, fully-restored 1968 GTO of their own, and a deep love of the Arrowhead brand in general, OPGI was loving on all that cruised into the show bright and early.  There were a bunch of beautiful GTOs, a slick Catalina on bags, a nice custom Gasser, some classic looking Bonnevilles and so many more sweet rides.

Special Appearances

Cristy Lee from All Girls Garage made it out for the day and everyone enjoyed her company. She signed autographs, snapped some photos with our Registrants, Spectators and even some excited employees as she chatted about her upcoming 1967 Grand Prix build that OPGI is helping her out with.

Participating Vendors

Once again we had the Seal Beach Lions and Leo Club here providing a delicious breakfast and lunch for all. The Leo’s Club provides an opportunity for youth to help the community while having fun. It also helps prepare for their future by developing leadership, organizational and social skills, and OPGI is happy to allow them that opportunity here at our Spring Summer Series.
The Seal Beach Police Foundation’s 2018 Saleen Mustang also made an appearance at the show thanks to the help of Seth Eaker, President of the Seal Beach Lions Club and member of the Police Foundation.

The guys from Bill Dunn brought along two sweet Pontiacs both equipped with OPGI parts, proudly displayed alongside their booth.

Fantasy Faces was set up towards the south side of the building for the kids (and some adults) to get their faces painted.

GT Performance had their wheels on display and even donated a steering wheel for our opportunity drawing.

Opportunity Drawing

Cristy took to the mic to show off her MC skills and announced the winning tickets for our opportunity drawing.  The opportunity drawing featured dozens of prizes donated from our awesome vendors and other partners.  OPGI also threw some cool prizes into the bunch, including a custom vinyl banner of Cristy with her ’67 Grand Prix that she signed for the lucky winner.

 The Winners

It wouldn’t be a car show without an awards ceremony! Take a peek below at our lucky winners and their rides.

Best Daily Driver – Ron Nickle 1968 GTO

Well, that’s a wrap for the Pontiac show. Don’t forget to check out OPGI’s All-Chevy show on July 14th. Katie Osborne of Powernation TV will be here for a meet and greet, Dogzilla and The Burnt Truck will be serving up some great grub, and of course, we’ll have some beautiful Chevys to look at. If all that alone isn’t enticing enough to get you out here, we’ll be giving away a Chevy Crate Engine – generously donated by Guaranty Chevrolet for our opportunity drawing! These cars are a work of art & they kind of make me nostalgic about reminding me of a certain game I used to play with my brother on my computer when I was a kid.
