Just a couple miles down the road from Original Parts Group is Main Street in Seal Beach California, home to the Seal Beach Classic Car Show. Each year the show gets bigger and this year there were over 500 classic vehicles. OPGI was set up on Main and Electric with two fully restored cars in tow, t-shirts for sale and free catalogs offering an extensive collection of parts for classic GM vehicles. Check out the galleries below including some of the cars that sparked our interest.
One of the most impressive cars at the show was this 1958 Cadillac Sedan deVille. This beautiful Cadillac was restored by Platinum Black Restoration shop in Huntington Beach and was a winner at the Grand National Roadster Show in 2019.
In addition to the ’58 we spotted a 1960 Series 62 convertible and a custom ’64 Cadillac Coupe Deville.
Another one of our favorites was Eddie Swanenburg’s 1967 Chevelle SS 396. We liked Eddie’s Chevelle so much, we selected it for the OPGI Original Award. This Chevelle is 1 of the 612 L78s produced for 1967 and comprises of the original disc brakes, 12 bolt rear end with 3.73 posi, protect-o-plate, and M21 4-speed.
A lot of the guys from the SoCal Chevelle and El Camino club brought their cars to the show including Bill Sinko’s ’65 Malibu. Take a look at Bill’s car and some other cool Chevy’s we spotted.
As always, there was an assortment of Pontiacs posted up on Ocean Avenue. Take a look at some of our favorites.
Even though it seems that show was dominated by Chevys and Pontiacs, there were a few Buick and Oldsmobile’s spotted including OPGI employee Bob Trednic’s 1968 4-4-2.
Last but not least, here are some photos from the OPGI booth. The OPGI team brought along the 1964 Corvair Monza Spyder, 1966 SS396 Chevelle and 1968 Buick Skylark GS 350.
