Spring Summer Series Buick, Oldsmobile, Pontiac & Cadillac Show

OPGI’s 2019 Spring-Summer Series came to a conclusion on July 13th with a successful show specific to pre-88 Buicks, Oldsmobiles, Pontiacs and last but not least, Cadillacs. In fact, we had an array of fully restored Cadillacs here with the Cadillac Kings in attendance as well as our friend Alyssa Kay’s 65 Resto-mod “Tequilla” and Scott Burketts “Overhauled” 63. Alyssa and Scott’s Cadillacs made it front and center in our Featured Vehicle row along with these beauties, check them out.

With 100+ fully restored classics filling our lot it was extremely hard to choose only 5 to be presented with an award, but our judges had to do it and we think they made some great choices, here they are.

Best Custom. Sean Tobin, 1973 Grand Am

Best Original, Tom Williamson, 1961 Pontiac Ventura

Best G-Body,  Bill Paolissos, 1983 Hurst Olds

Best Daily Drive, James Smith, 1971 Buick Skylark

VIP Award, Scott Burkett, 1963 Cadillac

During the award ceremony, our guests were able to sit back and enjoy a mouth-watering lunch from the Messi Burger food truck. These guys know how to cook up some tasty burgers and their hospitality certainly did not go unnoticed. We will definitely be inviting them back for our next event and cannot wait to enjoy their messiest of burgers again!

And even though June gloom was still lurking into the middle of July, it was a very warm day. Luckily Mustache Mikes was here to keep everyone cool with some Italian Ice.  The “Big Daddy” (cherry pineapple, and orange swirl) was our personal favorite.

Once again we had some of our vendors here to show their support and to show off some of their rides.

A huge thanks to our Car Show team who did an awesome job at parking all of our registrants with ease. Other duties for our team included serving breakfast, selling opportunity drawing tickets and show shirts to help raise money for the Community Family Guidance Center, a non-profit children’s mental health agency. All proceeds from both of our shows were donated to this truly amazing foundation. Please consider donating  here.
