OPGI Customer Car Feature: Shawn White’s ’70 Chevelle

OPGI customer Shawn White is the proud owner of his ’70 Chevelle better known as “Sexy Sally” to his 16.7k Instagram followers. The name his wife gave to the car immediately after laying eyes on her, “it just stuck”, said Shawn!

Not knowing if he wanted to restore his ride or build a Pro Street Car, Shawn stuck with his gut and built the Pro Street Car of his dreams. Starting with a Chris Alston back half kit and the 33”x22”x15 Mickey Thompson’s, he and his good friends Brandon Scott went to town cutting. Soon after, Shawn met well-known engine builder, Frank Beck. They became good friends and Beck built him a 565ci Big Block high compression nitrous engine that makes 900 hp on the motor…

… 1200 hp with NOS per AutotopiaLA.

For the body of the Chevelle, Shawn wanted to keep it as factory as possible. The bumpers and stainless wheel trim are original, and to keep everything else as original as possible he turned to Original Parts Group. Check out a few of those exterior items pictured below.
