#OPGICustomer Car Feature: Peter Karlsson’s ’72 LeMans

Everyone loves a happy ending, and luckily for Original Parts Group customer Peter Karlsson, the story of his 1972 Pontiac LeMans has a fairytale ending that many classic car owners wish they had after selling their ride.

It was the Summer of ’84 when Peter let his ride go after 4 years of restoring it. At the time, he never imagined that 5 owners and 15 years later that the LeMans would land its place back in his driveway for another round of restoration. First thing was first, a fresh coat of paint.

After many years of shopping with OPGI.com, Peter finally made his way from Sweden to visit our headquarters in Seal Beach, California. During his visit, he picked up his first will call order. Check out some of the interior restoration parts he walked out with that day.

Great job! I’m currently trying to finish up some little things here and there on my 72 GTO. I’m wondering if I should go with the bucket seats or if they use to be in mine instead of the bigger seat I have in it already. Wonder how hard it’ll be to install the weather stripping or the felt that has dryed up and shrunk over the years?.
