Original door handles and exterior mirrors are components that are always exposed to the elements and as a result, they often look far more battered and worn than the rest of your classic GM car, especially if the final paint and body work has already been completed. Before OPGI employee Rollie Bennett III was deployed overseas during Operation Iraqi Freedom for 17 months back in 2002, he worked here at Original Parts Group for 8 months. During those 8 months he climbed his way up the totem pole in the Warehouse. Although many Original Parts Group Inc. (OPGI) customers know that OPGI is headquartered in Seal Beach, California, it seems not many know where that small beachside community actually appears on a California map. A worn or damaged tail lamp lens can really ruin the appearance of an otherwise excellently restored classic car like the big 1963 Cadillacs. Original General Motors (GM) 1963 tail lamp lenses are not easily restored, and they are not easily replaced either, as new old stock factory parts are simply not available. (more…)
